Tommy O

Tommy “O”’s musical journey began at the age of 14, in Brooklyn, NY, with a set of drums given to him by his parents as a Christmas gift.  His talents showed early as he performed for famed evangelist Reverend Ike just three months later in front of thousands.   This journey has spanned decades and genres, culminating in the release of his debut solo album, “What a Wonderful Life”.

After a successful career in secular music, Tommy “O” turned his life and career over to God.  The faithful messages of encouragement in his lyrics are inspired by the word of God and the life-changing experiences of the everyday person.

Tommy “O” is an all-around accomplished performer of stage and screen, appearing in movies such as, Across 110th Street, Cotton Club Comes to Harlem and The Hospital.

Tommy “O” has also toured all over the world from Harlem, USA to the Netherlands.  He has toured extensively throughout Europe and has entertained the masses in Japan and Australia.  He has toured with some of the world’s biggest acts, such as Rick James, Luther Vandross, Evelyn “Champagne” King, Kool and The Gang and The Drifters.  Small screen success began early in his career starting with The Mike Douglas Show (1974) and the Merv Griffin Show (1975) to, most recently, The Billy Jones Gospel Show.

To see Tommy “O” on stage is an overwhelming experience.  He is a dynamic entertainer whose drive, energy and commitment to his craft, proves that the years of experience have truly paid off.
